Where Are You God?
My God, my God, why have you
forsaken me?
The cry of Jesus on the cross is
a most poignant example of someone who experiences the absence of God in
his life. Yet throughout the history of
God’s people and even today, people have looked for the consolation of
God’s presence and experienced instead a sense that God was not with
them, even when needed most.
Nigel explores some of
the experiences of God’s presence and absence found in the Bible. He
shows how these become opportunities to discover what God really wanted
of the people. And he suggests that we too can learn about God even at
times when God seems absent.
